I am a multidisciplinary designer and front-end developer who has become accomplished, spending more than ten years in different facets of the industry.
Starting as a designer in television and moving on to a short stay in the magazine industry, I honed my skills early, creating visuals for heavy consumption. This led to five years in the marketing department of a financial institution, where my work improved accessibility and reach by supporting a wider audience through device compatibility and responsiveness.
Developing into a more versatile designer, I founded Studio 83, where I built relationships with companies like Mirvish Productions, Enercare, The Hearing Foundation of Canada, and Amsterdam Brewery. These opportunities paved a path to the Ontario Public Service where I designed digital and printed materials for the Ministry of Energy and Destination Ontario.
I combine a rich knowledge of design, manufacturing, and marketing processes to solve design dilemmas with innovative resolutions and creative approaches that lead to commercial viability.
I combine my own lived experiences, and my rich knowledge of the design, manufacturing, and marketing process' to ask questions that help get to the bottom of what my clients are looking for and help create the best possible results.
In the process of play, we can come up with the most exciting and long-lasting solutions!
I push myself to find new inspiration daily and love experimenting with different mediums and processes of creating.
I'm an avid city cyclist, a sneaker collector, an animal lover, and an amateur cook. I spend a bunch of my time consuming other creative content, from new albums to old favourites, binge-worthy tv shows, and movies.
I believe in using the inspiration and life experiences I've gained to further the industry's future. Black, Indigenous and designers of colour have always been here!
